Being adoptive parents can be rewarding and challenging. Presented with a unique parenting situation, it is important to consider how adoption impacts attachment and development. Together we will read and process Nancy Verier’s book The Primal Wound and how it might resonate or conflict with your experiences. We want to facilitate community among the participants so that adoptive parents feel less alone and more equipped to consider the needs of their children. The group is 16 weeks, ending on August 26, 2025. Whatever the circumstances of your adoption - transracial, transcultural, single parent, same sex parents - all are welcome. The midday group is available as a hybrid if one partner needs to connect virtually.
