Hi, I’m holly.
I am interested in the intersection of psychology, spirituality, and justice. In general, I am intrigued by what makes us human, what makes us tick, what gives us a sense of meaning and purpose.
If you want to know yourself on a deeper level and are interested in spiritual and psychological growth, I would love to walk with you.
While I love the intersections of spirituality and psychology, I am particularly interested in working with attachment/adoption issues, spiritual/religious trauma, and the enneagram as a tool for growth. I am also well suited to work with people who long for spiritual and psychological growth but may not have a community with whom to explore. I am passionate about equity, inclusion, and belonging. If you feel harmed because of racism, sexism, or homophobia in your community, we could be a good fit. I work with people of all faith traditions and those without faith traditions online and in person alongside folks at Autumn Counseling.
I am a mother of 3 sons, an artist, an educator trained as a mental health counselor, a spiritual director, and enneagram coach. I love the outdoors, my dogs, baseball, and snorkeling. They are my church, my happy place, my spirit animals.
My Approach
I’ll want to get to know you, what makes you tick and where you feel stuck. I want to support your becoming fully yourself and imagining a spiritual and psychological life that enhances who you already are. Trained as a mental health counselor, I approach mental health through a psychological and spiritual lens. I also incorporate the Enneagram. To read more about this incredible tool, click here.
My philosophy
I believe we are wired for meaning and wonder, and I like to play in that space between curiosity and growth. Many mystics and physicists believe that humans are the universe becoming conscious of itself. We are co-creators in this magnificent dance. Regardless of your tradition or level of skepticism, I’d love to work with you on finding your part in the dance. If you are interested in braiding science, psychology, and spirituality, we might be right for each other!
My Influences
I would not be where I am without my mentor and friend, Dr. Bill Kerley. He is the Jedi to my Padawan. I don’t know if that’s a thing, but suffice to say I am in direct lineage to many of his influences, including Carl Jung, Jesus, Buddha, mystic poets, Ilia Delio, Sara Grant…the list goes on. I am also influenced by artists, feminist and liberation theology, James Baldwin (he is his own category of prophet!), Barbara Holmes, little-known female philosopher named Lady Anne Conway, and so many others. I’ll share many of these resources here and in our work together. You can get a glimpse of my teaching and podcast with Bill here.
